We are currently looking
for volunteer Coordinators for various events
at the Entertainer’s World 2007 show
in Toronto. Coordinators are needed for Consumer
Day, Media/Promo, and Spouse and Kid’s
Programs; and also the competitions (karaoke,
karaoke host, interactive entertainer, stand-up
comedy, DJ spin-off).
We are also looking
for a Sales Manager for the Entertainer’s
World 2007 show in Toronto. This is a commission
+ expenses position starting April 1st, 2006.

MARKETING & PROMOTION MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION:
(in conjunction with the Show Producer
and staff)
Assist with the development
and maintenance of a database of all potential
exhibitors for the national and regional
shows.
Assist with the development
and maintenance of a database of all potential
sponsors for the national and regional
shows.
Assist with the development
and maintenance of a database of all potential
media for the national and regional shows.
Assist with the development
and maintenance of a database of all relevant
venues; karaoke, nightclubs/bars/pubs,
schools, service clubs, sports clubs,
etc.
Assist with the development
and maintenance of a database of all potential
attendees; DJs, KJs VJ’s, Club Jocks,
Magicians, Hypnotists, Clowns, etc..
Assist with the promotion
of the shows to the various potential
exhibitors, sponsors, venues, and attendees.
Follow-up by telephone
call, to all potential exhibitors within
10 days of the initial promotion mail
out.
Coordinate and confirm
exhibit space sales and arrange collection
of exhibit space fees.
Assist with the promotion
of the show services and other visibility/participation
options to the various potential exhibitors.
Assist with the promotion
of the other show participation options
to the various non-exhibitors.
Plan, update and produce
a final list of exhibitors and services
required.
Maintain accurate sales
call and follow-up call records on the
prescribed forms and submit to the office
every 2 weeks.
Maintain accurate expense
and mileage records including all relevant
receipts on the prescribed forms and submit
to the office monthly.
Meet with the show producers
as required and maintain regular contact
with the office.
Other duties as assigned/required.

Promote the
competition to the various venues from
where contestants may be drawn.
Develop and
maintain a database of all relevant venues.
Coordinate
entries and confirm.
Plan and produce
a final list of contestants and performance

Arrange for
all necessary equipment for the production
of the competition.
Arrange for
judges for the competition. Emcee the
competition.

CONSUMER
DAY COORDINATOR: (in conjunction with the Show Producer,

Assist in the
development of a potential exhibitors
list.
Promote to
all potential exhibitors and follow-up.
Arrange for
seminars and presenters for consumers.
Arrange for
entertainment for the consumers party.
Potential
exhibitors include, but not limited
to: Event Planners, Caterers, Florists,
Videographers, Photographers, Entertainers
(DJ’s, performers), Etc.
SPOUSE
AND KID’S PROGRAMS COORDINATOR:
(in conjunction with the Show
Producer, and
Guest Services Coordinator)
Plan, develop
and promote activities, side trips, games,
entertainment and events for the spouses
and children of the show delegates.
Arrange and
acquire contents for a goodie bag for
each spouse/child.
Arrange for
supervision for children and possibly
a babysitting service.
MEDIA/PROMOTIONS
COORDINATOR: (in conjunction with the Show
Producer and
Sales/Promotion Manager)
Develop and
update a database of all potential media
for show promotion.
Arrange ongoing
press releases pertaining to the show.
Coordinate
a media conference 2 months prior to the
show.
Answer, or
forward to the Producer, any information
requests from various media.
Area Coordinator for Regional Shows (Kingston, London,
North Bay)
Job Description and Duties
Pre-showcase:
Review and understand
job description and duties.
Review and understand
showcase requirements (attached).
Locate potential host
facilities and set up appointments for
Jim Griffin to tour and assess each facility.
Obtain information on each facility and
forward it to the Segue office prior to
Jim’s trip to your area.
Accompany Jim to each
facility and give input on the facility.
Assist with the decision process to decide
on the host facility.
Develop a database in
Microsoft Access (format provided by Segue)
of all potential exhibitors (see attached
list of exhibitor types) within a one-hour
radius of the showcase city.
Develop a database in
Microsoft Access (format provided by Segue)
for all potential attendees in all categories
(DJ, KJ, VJ, Clubs, Halls, Schools) within
a one-hour radius of the showcase city.
Develop a database in
Microsoft Access (format provided by Segue)
for all Karaoke Venues within a one-hour
radius of the showcase city.
Develop a database in
Microsoft Access (format provided by Segue)
for all Media within a one-hour radius
of the showcase city.
Assist the Segue office
with exhibit sales for the showcase.
Put up posters and flyers
advertising the showcase in all suitable
venues within a one-hour radius of the
showcase city and actively promote the
show in the showcase area.
Assist with the development
of door prize and draw prize opportunities.
